Areas of Expertise

Intimacy and Relationship Issues

This can be the single most difficult issue in our lives. As if in a trance, we tend to act out familiar patterns from our original families over and over. Other issues may include loneliness and disconnection from others.

Depression

Hopelessness and despair can affect all of the areas of our lives, including relationships. We will work holistically to discover how to navigate these waters, with great care, honoring all of the parts of you.

Anxiety

Often our nervous systems can become stimulated without us knowing why, and perhaps feeling like our bodies are out of control. Feelings such as a rapid heartbeat or nervousness can become globalized so that we feel this continually, keeping us from our center, that knowing, calm place within each of us, the place that we feel most alive.

Grief and Loss

Loss and love are inextricably entwined in our lives - when our feelings of mourning and grief are complicated by unfinished business in our relationships, it can become harder to move through and integrate these feelings into who we are as men.

HIV and AIDS

Issues around diagnosis, disclosure, and end of life processes are huge and can get in the way of living life fully.

Gay Men's Issues

As gay men, it can be challenging to form a healthy identity within the larger culture, especially coming out while navigating a path toward balance and wholeness.

Trauma

Working slowly and with great care, we will uncover and explore how past traumas impact our lives and our relationships.

Disability Issues

Our health impacts every aspect of our lives - when this becomes compromised we can become disconnected, splitting off the parts that are "bad" or "wrong." We will work together toward a balanced identity, creating a narrative that is inclusive of all the parts of who you are.

Gender and Trans Friendly

Skilled, competent, and sensitive to gender identity concerns, helping folks be who they need to be in the world with compassion and care.
