A Typical Session

In our first session we usually discuss why you are seeking therapy in addition to going over the boundaries of this professional relationship, making sure you understand what confidentiality means, your rights as the privilege holder and any exceptions to this, and the fee scale.

In therapy, I work slowly with much respect, using the Hakomi style of body inquiry, helping you to move deeply into and through emotional challenges with compassion and care. My speaking style is direct, using humor and an open heart to support your process at a pace that is right for you.  See the Resources page for more information on the Hakomi way of practicing psychotherapy.

Working organically, I encourage you to bring in any items that are meaningful to them, such as photos of loved ones, artwork – anything that can help illustrate your life and relationships. We will take our time with plenty of space in the room for you, with a focus on your moment-to-moment bodily experience.

Fees - I accept a sliding scale based on your income and employment status, cash or check. I do not accept insurance although I will be accepting credit cards for payment in a few months.

I look forward to exploring with you in your process.
